Eating With The Havant Lions!

The COVID-19 crisis has left many Havant households in dire straits. While the government is making money available to support people during the crisis there is inevitably a delay in getting cash into peoples’ hands. This can mean that in the short-term people don’t even have the money to buy basic foodstuffs. Havant Lions have allocated an initial £2,000 to help to alleviate this misery locally. The funds have been converted into £50 food vouchers which are being routed via Social Services and Citizens Advice to make sure the vouchers go to the people with the most need in the area. With over £1,800 already given out the vouchers are obviously filling a pressing need.
**We are looking for New Lions**
“Havant Lions always welcome applications from people who are interested in serving their community while having a good time doing it! Normally we would invite anyone interested to join us at the Brookfield Hotel to get a better idea of what the club does. However, at the moment we are limited to online meetings so simply email us on membership@havantlions.org.uk and we’ll be happy to get back to you with more information about the Club and the Lions organisation in general”
